It’s not only the Barclays Premier League who can bring you Friday night football so hold on to your hats folks as Bracknell Town face Binfield tonight in the Buildbase FA Vase.

Kick-off is 7.45pm and Binfield’s Stubbs Lane ground and we spoke to both managers yesterday (which you can see here) but here are our three things to look out for tonight.

A bumper crowd

Whenever any of Ascot United, Binfield, Bracknell Town or Wokingham & Emmbrook meet the crowds are always large but the Robins vs the Moles is probably THE match for drawing in the crowds and tonight should be no exception.

A crowd of nearly 400 odd people packed into Larges Lane when the sides met in the FA Cup in 2011-12 season and with no other local matches taking place that we know of, tonight should be busy so get there early, get parked up, get your programme, grab you pint, grab your burger and settle down for the main event.

Goals

Bracknell’s Adam Cornell has fourteen goals from his twelve matches this season whilst Liam Ferdinand for Binfield has thirteen goals in ten matches which earned him the Moles August Player of the Month award.

Throw in TJ Bohane who has eight in eight this season or seven in six matches since joining the Robins last month and there are some of the best strikers the division has to offer.

Roger Herridge can call upon Matt Jones, Luke Scope, JC Etienne and promising youngster Luke Hayden too up front whilst Mark Tallentire knows Joe Grant, Seb Bowerman and Kensley Maloney all have goals in their locker too.

Cue a boring nil-nil draw now we have said that and a Monday night replay.

Managers thoughts: See what Roger and Mark have to say ahead of the game

A slightly strange feel

Even though the tie is at Binfield, it’s actually Bracknell Town who are the home team so we are expecting them in their red Adidas kit with the Moles sporting their bright yellow away Nike kit.

We are guessing that the Robins will have the home changing room but we are not sure on that one.

It’s Bracknell producing the match day programme so it will feel strange to be at Stubbs Lane without having one of Colin Byer’s excellent programmes to read.

Even if it feels a little weird, you can comfort yourself with a ‘Moleburger’ from the tea bar which are highly recommended and 100% endorsed by myself and TC.

If you cannot make tonight we’ll be updating via Twitter but get yourself along for what we think and hope will be a cracker.
