Binfield’s Allied Counties Youth Football League South Division game at home to Knaphill was abandoned last night after an injury to Jack Rafferty (front row, far left in the above image) on 55 minutes.

Rafferty was making his third appearance of the season for John Polston’s side when he dislocated and broke his ankle in a challenge.

Assistant manager Mark Poole confirmed the injury to FiB this morning and wished the youngster a speedy recovery.

Eddie Lee, Aaron Layne and Luke Hayden (2) had given Polston’s side a 4-0 lead at the break while first team manager Roger Herridge was watching on from the sideline.

The game will most likely be replayed, but is listed as abandoned on the Allied Counties full-time page. Both Knaphill and Binfield tweeted ‘best wishes’ to Rafferty after the game:

Ascot United are in Allied Counties Premier action this evening when Marlow visit the Racecourse Ground.
