#oakleyVoakley: Looking forward to Woodley United vs Sandhurst Town on Saturday

The eagle-eyed amongst you (not us) will have noticed that the biggest match this weekend in the Uhlsport Hellenic Football League is NOT Bracknell Town at home to Ascot United, but in fact the East Berks derby between brothers Charlie and Harry Oakley at Scours Lane – sorry Woodley United and Sandhurst Town.

We’ve had the pair in this week and set them a quiz which we’ll publish on Friday in the build up to the match, but in the meantime Kestrels and Fizzers fans, let’s settle this important point..

It might be a written contest this time around, but when the two sides meet again at Bottom Meadow on 25th February – we are planning a Facebook Live Event with physical challenges for the pair to compete in so stay tuned for that!

In the meantime, a quick overview of the game at Scours Lane on Saturday (ko 3pm)

Charlie and Woodley United will go in as favourites, sitting second in the league having beaten the league leaders and and reigning champions. They also have just one defeat all season – although that defeat was another derby game against Wokingham & Emmbrook.

Harry and Sandhurst Town meanwhile are 12th of 14 and have lost their last two games BUT defeated Hellenic Premier opposition in a League Cup game at the end of November and will fancy an upset come 3pm.
