New date for Berks County’s postponed Reading Senior Cup tie

The date for the postponed Reading Senior Cup tie between Hellenic League Division 1 East Holyport and Thames Valley Premier League Berks County has been confirmed.

The two sides – who were due to meet at Summerleaze on Tuesday night – will now play the first round fixture on Thursday 9th February.

The winners of the match are due to face Premier Division Binfield in the second round.

Holyport are currently second bottom of Division 1 East while Nathan Baker’s County side are 6th in the Thames Valley Premier.

Tuesday night’s other matches involving local clubs did go ahead with Bracknell Town’s first team on the road at Ardley United, and the clubs under 21’s emerging victorious in the first of three Suburban Challenge Shield Group A games at Larges Lane.

Please note: This article previously stated the match was on Tuesday 7th. We have since been informed by both clubs that this date has changed to the 9th.
