Charlie Oakley of Woodley United currently leads the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East Golden Boot race as the league campaign reaches a climax.

Headington Amateurs have three players in the top eight and crucially they have two matches left whilst everyone else has one match left.

Importantly for Oakley, Woodley complete their league campaign on 19th April at home to Chalfont Wasps and this is after everyone else has finished so he will know what he needs to do to secure the Golden Boot.

Because Cuff has played more matches than Oakley he will need to finish with more goals scored. If both players are level on 22 goals for example, Oakley would take the Golden Boot by virtue of scoring his 22 goals in fewer appearances.

Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East Golden Boot 2016-17:

Name Club Appearances Goals
1 Charlie Oakley Woodley United 22 21
2 Luke Cuff Headington Amateurs 24 20
3 Paul Rake Holyport 25 18
4 Fred Tripp Penn & Tylers Green 18 17
5 Christopher Hurst Penn & Tylers Green 22 16
6 Kai Parton-Edey AFC Aldermaston 19 16
7 Carl Bloomfield Headington Amateurs 21 15
8 Benjamin Green Headington Amateurs 22 15

Please note that it is league goals only for the golden boot.

In the event of a tie in the number of goals, players are separated by appearances.
