Bracknell Sunday League round up: Finchampstead are the champions

The Bracknell Town & District Sunday League came to a close with WAB’s victory in the Junior Cup at the end of May, but what a season of twists and turns it’s been. Finchampstead Athletic Sunday won the Premier Division while their were some tight battles in the lower divisions.

Premier: Finchampstead Athletic Sunday ended four years of FC Fernhill dominance in the Premier Division, winning the title by eight points, losing just one game and scoring 83 goals.

Division 1: Crowthorne Inn lost their final game of the season but it didn’t stop them lifting the Division 1 title by two points from Finchampstead Athletic Sunday Reserves.

Division 2: Binfield Royals pipped long time leaders Berkshire All Stars to the second division title, winning it by four points. WAB finished third before a big gap to fourth of 11 points.

Division 3: Woodley United Reserves were crowned third division champions in a race that changed hands week by week, club by club. The Hammers won by a point from AFC Crowthorne Reserves on the final day of the season.
