Two sides from Binfield and an Ascot United Ladies reserve team were elected to the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League on Monday night at the League AGM in Oxford.

At a well attended meeting there were representations from at least 10 new clubs and teams with Binfield and Ascot both being placed in Division 2 East.

The second Binfield side is an under 18 side and they were elected to the leagues youth division.

The boost in teams comes in part from the folding of a Surrey Women’s League which saw teams from Guildford, Woking and Abbey Rangers make applications.

Ascot United’s senior team won promotion to the Premier Division of the Southern Region Women’s League and the reserve side will aim to develop players for the side.

The Division 2 East constitution is (pending confirmation) as follows:

  • Abbey Rangers
  • Ascot United Reserves
  • Binfield
  • Caversham
  • Guildford Saints
  • Harefield United
  • Holyport
  • Kingsclere
  • Taplow Reserves
  • Woking

Sandhurst Town we understand have been placed currently in an equivalent regional division 2.
