The Volunteer of the Season category in the Bracknell Football Awards was contested with five deserving entries.

The winner though was the man who we received this nomination for: “With his creative approach and enthusiasm, every week children are not only enjoying their football but at the same time are learning how to play competitively but more importantly fairly whilst having a great time doing so even if it means missing watching his own son.

“He will always remain available to the children and parents at the end of the game and his end of match team talks are inspirational. Without fail, every child is encouraged and praised for their efforts and commitment. It’s so rewarding to see the kids smiling – win, lose or draw. In summary, his effort and commitment is what grass root football is all about.”

The winner of the Volunteer of the Season award is Pinewood FC’s DEAN ALLEN.

The Bracknell Football Awards narrowed down the finalists based on public vote and a panel of judges including Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth. We apologise for the late delivery of the awards results.
