Binfield have been drawn at home to South West Peninsular League Premier Division side Bodmin Town in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup – assuming that is they get past Horndean in a Preliminary Round Replay on Tuesday night.
The Moles drew 1-1 with the Dean on Saturday thanks to a second half Josh Howell goal, earning a 104 mile round trip to South Hampshire on Tuesday (ko 7.45pm).
We thought we’d pull together a bit of info for you if you are thinking of travelling with Binfield to the replay.
Travel
The quickest route according to Google maps is to take the A331 down to Aldershot and get on the A3 through Haslmere and the South Downs National Park to Horndean which is about eight miles north of Portsmouth.
A look at the trains suggests a three hour plus trip just to get there!
Address: Five Heads Park, Five Heads Road, Horndean, Hampshire PO8 9NZ
A ground hoppers view: Here’s what Laurence Reade had to say about Five Heads Park – ‘On entering the ground I immediately felt a sense of Oxford United’s former home, The Manor Ground, the pitch slopes in exactly the same way, from bottom left to top right!’
