It might have been a disappointing afternoon for Bracknell Town and a large portion of the 1,142 supporters who crowded in to Larges Lane on Saturday for the FA Vase Quarter Final tie with Marske United but two former Robins were celebrating after reaching the last four with Thatcham Town.

Striker Shane Cooper-Clark and Kingfishers coach Keith Pennicott-Bowen are the two men that have played a big part in the blues reaching the last four – and both have some deep associations with the Robins.

Cooper-Clark is one of Bracknell Town’s leading modern day goalscorers and has 43 already this season while Pennicott-Bowen’s association goes back even further having been a player in the 1990s and manager in 2014.

The Kingfishers were headed for extra time at Melksham Town in Wiltshire when Ekow Elliott found the back of the net to win the fixture 1-0 and the blues were drawn out of the hat to face 1874 Northwich at home in the first leg of the semi final which will be played on Saturday 17th March with the return leg on Saturday 24 March.
