The Thames Valley Premier League have confirmed that all league and cup matches across their divisions at the weekend have been cancelled due to the snowy weather.
The league, which includes Berks County and Finchampstead amongst it’s number confirmed the news via twitter to FiB.
Elsewhere the Bracknell Sunday League have suggested it’s extremely unlikely any fixtures will go ahead – we also spoke to Bracknell Forest Council who while they haven’t closed the pitches yet, weren’t expecting any matches to happen.
The East Berks Football Alliance announced on Thursday morning that the junior leagues entire league programme would be off at the weekend and there will almost certainly be a whiteout at most of the Hellenic Football League fixtures.

We have enquired with the Hellenic Football League if they will allow early cancellations, usually a pitch inspection is required on the day of the game but they have in the past allowed clubs to call games off earlier when it is obvious that no play will be possible. As yet we have not received a response.
Finally, the women’s football league on Sunday are currently on but the Southern Region Women’s Football League did say: “At present decisions are with clubs but already some are saying grounds unplayable due to frost and snow.”
