Bracknell Town travel to Gloucestershire on Wednesday night in the knowledge that the game is on at Longlevens, at least for now.
The Robins make the trip for a Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup Quarter Final tie following a frustrating Monday night at Woodley United’s Scours Lane ground when the Hellenic League Premier Division fixture was postponed with around 40 minutes to go before kick off.
Bracknell will be led in the tie by Development Team managers Andy Findlay – Rob Creech isn’t travelling – as had initially been the plan when the tie was originally schedule a week ago. The Robins confirmed via twitter that the new first team management duo of Carl Davies and Geoff Warner will be in charge of the league trip to Tuffley Rovers.
Should Bracknell win they could face Hellenic Premier rivals Flackwell Heath after Marcus Richardson’s side beat Royal Wootton Bassett Town 6-0 or either of the following sides:
Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup Quarter Finals
- Thatcham Town OR Windsor v Brimscombe & Thrupp
- Flackwell Heath 6 – 0 Royal Wootton Bassett Town
- Longlevens v Bracknell Town
- Virginia Water v Binfield
Elsewhere Hellenic League sides were involved in Tuesday night football with Sandhurst Town going out of the Aldershot Senior Cup following a 3-0 defeat at Eversley & California while Windsor were knocked out of the Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Cup after a 5-0 defeat at home to EFL League 1 side MK Dons.
