Binfield Ladies full back Leanne Harkins has been nominated for a EPC Bracknell Football Award in the category of Player of the Season.

Given that Leanne was unavailable for the start of the season she played 14 games for the Thames Valley Women’s League and won the clubs final two player of the month awards following some strong committed performances.

The nomination for Leanne reads: “Despite only playing half a season for Binfield Ladies after giving birth, Leanne came back and swiftly got back in the swing of things to the point where she is now playing the best football in over three years with the team.

“In addition, Leanne came back and switched to left back from her usual right back slot and became an automatic pick. She is incredible committed and won the final two player of the month awards for the club in a row.”

The Bracknell Football Awards ceremony night will take place on Wednesday 4th June at Binfield FC. You can see all the nominations for all the awards here.
