June is like that brief period in the old Championship Manager games when you’d get to the end of the season and it’d run an update for the next season.
Well, we’re probably halfway through that update now and can tell you a little bit more about when the FA Cup, Bostik League and Hellenic League fixtures will be released for the 2018/19 season.
As with player registrations, the majority of the action will take place in the early part of July with the governing body and leagues releasing their fixtures on specified dates. We’ve previously highlighted the big kick off dates here.
List of teams accepted into the FA Competitions to be announced week commencing Monday 2nd July. Early FA fixtures released on Friday 6th July – this will be the Extra Preliminary Round and Preliminary Round ties.
This release will also include the FA Trophy which Bracknell Town will enter and the FA Vase.
The Evo-Stik Northern League and Bostik Isthmian League fixtures are scheduled for release on Thursday 12th July. The Evo-Stik Southern League fixtures are out on Thursday 19th July and are later we understand due to the number of club allocation appeals expected.
There is no specific date for Hellenic League fixtures as far as we are aware. Due to ground sharing and various other factors the step 5 fixtures usually follow a week or so after step 4, with the Southern League not releasing until the 19th July it doesn’t give the Hellenic fixture computer a lot of time to run.
