Hardcore Sam Barratt fans will of course travel far and wide to see the former Woodley United and Bracknell Town youngster in action.

The ex-Maidenhead United attacker signed for EFL League One side Southend United at the end of the 2016/17 season and we hope will have a big part to play for the Shrimpers this season.

Of course, you will all be busy following your own clubs this season but that doesn’t mean you need to miss Sam in what we hope is his big Football League debut year.

With that in mind, here’s the dates following the fixture release that Southend will be in a town/city/county near you. These fixtures obviously don’t include possible FA Cup or Checkatrade Trophy ties.

Saturday 25th August: Bristol Rovers – 3pm

Saturday 29th September: Wycombe Wanderers – 3pm

Saturday 24th November: AFC Wimbledon – 3pm

Wednesday 26th December: Oxford United – 3pm

Please note, these fixtures are subject to change and while we hope Sam will be a Roots Hall regular, please check the club website before you travel!
