Late last week Binfield FC confirmed the appointment of Ross Weatherstone as the clubs development team manager.

Weatherstone replaces Ellis Woods who moved on to first team management with Eversley & California at the end of the season.

Weatherstone is a former professional football with among other Stevenage Borough, Oxford United and Boston United where he was a National League winner.

Last season he managed Woodcote Stoke Row to second place in the Thames Valley Premier League and will take up his new roll with Binfield in the Suburban League Premier Division.

A statement on the Binfield website reads: “Ross will manage the young development squad, working closely and directly with both the 1st team and the highly successful Allied Counties youth side, management and coaching teams, to play an integral role in providing the development pathway from youth to senior football.

“He is a Level 3 coach and sports education assessor and works professionally running his own coaching and education business, working with Schools and Academy’s across the UK and internationally.”
