On Friday 24th of August at Great Hollands Crematorium, the Bracknell Sunday League said goodbye to a personal very close friend, a one time Committee Member holding positions on our League over the years as Fixture Sec, Results Sec and Rep Team Manager.

Paul, as he did throughout his life gave 100% to any job within the grassroots game and this he did with noticeable commitment.

It was as a Football Club manager of the William Twigg Albion that gave him the most success over the years that will be admired by all who play in the Sunday League.

Starting with the first success in the 81/82 season and going on to pick up as a further 17 League trophies through to the 11/12 season. The most impressive of these being the 9 Premier Division titles from 02/03 until 11/12 out of a possible 10, and picking up over the period no less than 9 Senior Cups. You will agree with me a record that will live for seasons to come.

Over the years Paul made some very good friends through players that had the pleasure to play for The William Twigg Albion and opposing Managers/Players that were on the losing side against them.
Either way Paul and Jen made them welcome with there flask of Tea at all games, this alone will be sadly missed.

I know that on Friday we will say goodbye to a true gentleman, friend and legend. My thoughts are with Jenny and boys and all close family at this sad sad time .

RIP. Paul gone but never ever forgotten.
