Binfield’s reward for winning their FA Cup Preliminary Round tie against Brockenhurst on Saturday is another home tie, this time with a Toolstation Western League side.

The Moles will face Buckland Athletic on the weekend of Saturday 8th September with a prize of £6,000 up for grabs to the winners.

Football in Bracknell’s Darrell Freeland writes: “Buckland are 16th in Western League Premier Division (same level as Hellenic Premier). One win and three losses from their four league matches.”

Buckland Athletic are based in Newton Abbott, Devon so any FA Cup replay will be a long midweek away day for the Moles.

Binfield’s Hellenic League record currently stands at played four, won two, drawn one and lost one but they have beaten both Farnham Town and Brockenhurst in the FA Cup so far.

Moles in the FA Cup

For the Moles, it will be their first appearance in the First Qualifying Round since the 2013/14 season when they beat Ardley United in a replay before losing to Leatherhead in the Second Qualifying Round.

Binfield manager Roger Herridge tweeted: “As draws go got to be happy to be at drawn to play a side at the same level . Am sure they will be saying the same though. Intriguing tie.”
