Bracknell has three new referee’s at junior club FC Bracknell after passing FA exams.

Last weekend the three newly qualified FA referees, under 15s Toren Wright, Adam Bailey and Arthur Glenister took the stage. All three have been with FC Bracknell since Soccer School and are now all qualified FA referees.

All three passed at the first attempt. They had to attend sessions at the FA centre in Milton Keynes which included three Sunday sessions for practical training and then two evening class room sessions with one final evening session to take the exam.

As part of the process, the three candidates had to referee five competitive games at 9 v 9 or 11 v 11 with all three getting good feedback.

A spokesperson for FC Bracknell said: “We would like to congratulate the boys on passing, without referees, we would not have a game.”

In other refereeing news, the Cambridgeshire FA recently introduced purple shirts for referees under the age of 18, the Berks & Bucks FA indicated they may well follow suit.
