A step 7 league covering Berkshire has followed the Uhlsport Hellenic League in cancelling all fixtures at the weekend.

The Thames Valley Premier League, which counts Berks County, Finchampstead and the second string sides of Woodley United and Wokingham & Emmbrook has announced all fixtures on Saturday have been postponed.

Earlier, the Hellenic League confirmed its entire weekend fixture programme would be postponed.

On Saturday, Berks County had been due to play host to Richings Park while Finch were due to host Mortimer in the Berkshire Trophy Centre Cup.

In a tweet, the competition said: “The league officers have decided to postpone all Thames Valley Premier League matches for 2 Feb due to weather conditions & to minimise travelling. Clubs in external competitions need to refer to that competition regarding match status.”
