The Berks & Bucks County FA under 18 side might be out of the FA County Youth Cup, but that doesn’t mean it’s season over for Aaron Steadman’s young side.

The cup run ended in Manchester on Sunday but that doesn’t take away from a terrific 7-2 fourth round win over Cumberland in January.

The county side compete in a five team South & West Counties Championship against the football associations of Gloucestershire, Devon, Cornwall and Wiltshire.

So far, after one fixture it is Steadman’s side who lead the way following a 4-0 win over Devon at Slough Town at the end of November thanks to goals from James Richardson, Lewis Pegg, Eddie Lee and Brad Farren with home fixtures to come against Gloucestershire on 24th February and Wiltshire on 10th March.

Devon have played the most games so far – two – having beaten Wiltshire 3-2 while Gloucestershire beat Cornwall 4-1.

Last season, in a slightly different division setup the County finished third in a four team division behind Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
