Plenty of team news going in to the weekend with both Ascot United and Windsor facing Hellenic League Challenge Cup semi finals.

The Yellamen’s boss Jamie Tompkins said ahead of the clash with Wantage Town at the Racecourse Ground: “We are in a good place at the moment and all players are available to play, including captain Louis Bouwers who has recovered from injury.”

Windsor face a trip to Almondsbury with an all Berkshire final again a real possibility.

The Royalists star man Dan Roberts made a man of the match debut for Slough Town on Saturday in the Vanarama National League but the Windsor Observer says the winger is expected to return to Mick Woodham’s side for the semi final.

Roger Herridge has three key men back for Saturday’s home Hellenic League Premier Division fixture with Abingdon United.

Goalkeeper Dave Lyons, full back Charley Tuttle and new centre back Idris Kamara all return to the Binfield squad.

Speaking to Football in Bracknell, Herridge confirmed young striker Eddie Lee would start the game but midfielder Danny Horscroft is unavailable and there are doubts around Jeff Brown. He added that youngster Jamie Griggs and Jamie Mitchell would likely be in the squad.

Bracknell Town

The Robins face a trip to Hanwell Town in the Bostik League South Central Division One and will be without Carl Davies after his wife gave birth on Tuesday night. Congratulations Carl!

Bracknell manager Geoff Warner confirmed that Mark Scott would start in goal while Johnny Hathaway would play for Binfield on Saturday and midfielder James Cowan has left the club.

Warner added that both Kensley Maloney and Seb Bowerman should both start running next week.

Jordan Brown will also be available following his sending off on Tuesday night. Brown has been hit with a five game ban. Warner said: “We think he was sent off a couple of times for Marlow, hence the length of the ban.

“It’s a shame because he did brilliantly in the first two games and won the penalty on Tuesday. He made an attempt to win the ball but the linesman steps on to the pitch you know it’s all over.

“With ten players though we were terrific, four times now we’ve been down to 10 men and we’ve won them all, Chipstead, Felixstowe and Folkestone at least. I might start with 10 on Saturday.”

Manager Simon Johnson has new signing Bradley Brown making his Reading City debut as the blues host Brackley Town Saints at Scours Lane.

The striker joins from Bagshot having also played for Eversley & California this season.

Jones added Jordan Cox would return but Austin Best is suspended.
