We start our nominations for the 2019 Bracknell Football Awards sponsored by Elite Preparation Centre with a player who’s been on fire in front of goal for his club and earned international honours with the Football Association.

Liam Ferdinand rejoined Bracknell Town in the summer for the Robins attack on the Bostik League South Central Division One having originally moved across the previous season from Binfield.

The striker found game time limited with TJ Bohane and Adam Cornell rekindling their strike partnership in the 2017/18 season and Ferdinand moved across to Thatcham Town – where let’s be honest he didn’t have a bad season as the Kingfishers lifted the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division and FA Vase titles – albeit he was cup-tied for the final.

Ferdi‘ returned to Bracknell last summer, ahead of the clubs first season back at step 4 – he scored the clubs first goal at this level since 2010 in the 1-0 win over Waltham Abbey – and he certainly hit the ground running as the divisions top scorer with 29 goals in 33 appearances.

Nomination Ferdinand, Paul McCrady said: “Bracknell Town are pushing for back to back promotions and Liam Ferdinand is having a terrific season at Bracknell. After being promoted with Thatcham last season and returning to Bracknell he has been excellent as a centre forward and is on for claiming the Golden Boot in the Bostik South Central Division.”

Do you think Liam Ferdinand deserves to win the Player of the Season (Male) award or is there someone else? Get your nominations in on the form below and find out more about all the different categories here.
