I feel like I have written this a lot in the last week, but despite the season barely finishing for many clubs – and still going on for others, thoughts are already moving toward the 2019/20 season.

Clubs are pulling together their pre season fixture lists, players are being released and managers appointed for the next campaign.

And now we know exactly when we’ll find out who Bracknell Town and the rest of the clubs at steps 1 to 4 including Hungerford Town, Slough Town and Thatcham Town.

For Slough, Hungerford and Maidenhead United in the Vanarama National League there shouldn’t be to many surprises, but at steps 3 and 4, that’s where the real fun is with plenty of sideways movement.

The question is of course, will Bracknell remain in the Bostik League and will Thatcham Town remain in the Evo Stik Southern League? One intrepid non league football and spreadsheet enthusiast attempts to map it all out every season.

If Wazzafan is correct – and you can check his workings at tinyurl.com/y5jyvczr  – then it should be ‘as you were’ for both Thatcham and Bracknell with the Robins joined by some old rivals in Didcot Town and Staines Town.

All of that right now is speculation, we’ll find out for certain when the allocations are published in Sunday’s (19th May) Non League Paper. Get your copy at all good newsagents.
