The Combined Counties League has taken the unusual step of releasing early fixtures for one of its member clubs owing to travel arrangements.

Jersey Bulls, based on the Channel Island of Jersey will join Division One for their first campaign in the English Football Pyramid in 2019/20 and will play fixtures against both Eversley & California and Sandhurst Town.

Sandhurst aren’t in the opening raft of fixtures, released according to the Combined Counties League because ‘It is necessary to announce the early season fixtures for Jersey Bulls as clubs need to know where they stand in plenty of time.’

Eversley however will travel to the island on Saturday 21st September.

Hampshire side Fleet Spurs will head over on 24th August and Bagshot on 7th September. Ash United are the first visitors on 3rd August.

It is understood from a previous CCL statement that Bulls would pay for visiting clubs trips, similar to how Guernsey – now in the Bostik League – joined the league in 2011.

Jersey Bulls are due to play their first ever match on 6th July against EFL League Two Stevenage.

Speaking to the Jersey Evening Post, Bulls Director Ian Horswell said: ‘It is in our business plan to play in the two Combined Counties League cups in season one,’ Horswell explained. ‘Then for season two we plan to enter the FA Vase, and the FA Cup in season three.’
