Woodley United Ladies supporters nominated for Bracknell Football Award

Bert and Diane Surtees nominated for supporter award

It was Woodley United Ladies first season back in the Southern Region Women’s League Premier Division and it seems the side were well supported home and away.

We received several nominations for Bert and Diane toward the EPC supporter of the season award including: “At 75 years old, Bert and Diane travel to all games with Woodley United Ladies. They have given up their Sunday’s travelling as far as Bournemouth, Southampton and Warsash to support their granddaughter. Bert also volunteers to run the line for Woodley Ladies when needed and Diane helps sell teas and coffees at all home games. For years they have travelled far and wide to support Woodley United Ladies and it is great to have such loyal supporters!”

Another reads: “These two supporters are an absolute credit to Woodley United Ladies! They have been with us every single game this season and have clocked up many miles travelling with us! As many of our away games are based in the south coast!l Every grass root club needs supporters like these two! They encourage us profoundly and cheer us on, and give up that extra push during the game! They are genuinely lovely people who are extremely good natured! Their support does not go unnoticed.”

Are Bert and Diane your supporters of the season? Or are there others we should be talking about? Get your votes in for Bert and Diane and any other nominations for the Bracknell Football Awards in the form below. You can find out about all the categories here.
