Former Ascot United forward Nathan Minhas is in talks with Vanarama National League South side Billericay Town according to a post on the clubs social media page.

Minhas was a revelation for the Yellamen last season scoring 30 goals in 32 games for Jamie Tompkins side before moving to the Essex side in the New Year.

It was reported in October 2018 (Bracknell News) that the former Maidenhead United youngster had signed a two year contract with Billericay and was then loaned back to Ascot for the remainder of the season.

That changed at the end of 2018 when Minhas made the switch to the AGP Arena, playing twice before being loaned to Bostik League Premier Division side Kingstonian where he played eight times in the league, scoring once.

The striker is due to have enter the second year of that contract signed last season and on 15th May he was announced on the clubs retained list for 2019/20.

However a tweet and accompanying video from 15th June on the clubs twitter account shows Minhas listed under ‘in talks’ with the club.

The tweet says: “This is how the squad is shaping up so far, 1-2 likely additions to add over the coming weeks and the possibility of another departure or two. Only a few weeks until pre-season starts.”

Billericay finished the season in eighth place, having won promotion from the Bostik League Premier Division as champions the previous season.
