Wednesday night could well be the hat trick for ground hoppers as Chalvey Sports round off three nights of midweek football at Thame Rangers.
The Stabmonks open their Uhlsport Hellenic League Division account for the 2019/20 season after an impressive debut season at step 6 that saw them finish 8th.
Manager Marty Young is away for the opening fixture, but speaking to Football in Berkshire he said the club were looking forward to fielding a number of new signings.
He said: “18 year old Matteo Giacobbe starts between the sticks, 19 year old full back Reece Brophy starts on the left and a league debut for Kris Drake who signed from Holyport in the summer.
“We also have a return to the squad for former captain Matty Edwards returning after 18 months on the sidelines with a damaged cruciate. Two further new signings Ricky Bromfield and Sandy “G” Garluwa start on the bench. Two missing from the squad through injuries but strong numbers will ensure we are still strong for our first league game.”
Regarding the timing of his holiday, Young said: “Unfortunately, having picked the team, I will miss the game tonight as in Cyprus (bad planning) however Chairman and brother Scott will lead the team out tonight.”
