On Saturday Sandhurst Town have a tough away day in prospect as they make the short trip into Surrey to face Farnham Town. Farnham have a 100% league record after 2 games and are one of the favourites for promotion, having finished 4th in the table last season, but the Fizzers are also undefeated having taken 7 points from their 3 games.

A win for Sandhurst would see them top the table for 24 hours at least, as the two sides above them Jersey Bulls and Fleet Spurs, meet on Sunday.

Eversley & California will look to kick start their season as they host Bagshot at the ESA Ground. The Boars have looked good in flashes in their three games but despite this they have not been able to claim any points so far this campaign. Bagshot, who play their home games at Camberley Town’s Krooner Park, have taken six points from their opening 3 league fixtures and currently sit 8th in the table.

Hellenic League

In the Hellenic League Division One East AFC Aldermaston make the trip into Oxfordshire to face Abingdon United. The U’s are a new addition to the division, after they were relegated from the Hellenic Premier at the end of last season.

They have had a solid start to life at Step 6, taking 6 points from 3 games and they currently sit 5thin the table. The Atomics are facing opponents from Abingdon for the second time in 5 days after they beat the town’s other club Abingdon Town 2-1 at the Rec Soc on Tuesday.

Just down the road Abingdon Town will be entertaining another Berkshire side, Chalvey Sports. The Stabmonks sit 4th in the table after an entertaining 3-3 draw with Holyport on Tuesday night, and a win this weekend will see them climb to 2nd in the table as Thame Rangers and Didcot Town Development don’t play until Monday. Chalvey and Abingdon met last weekend in the Challenge Cup with Chalvey recording an emphatic 7-1 victory over the Abbots.

Langley face a tough assignment as they travel to Buckinghamshire to face the division’s early pace setters Risborough Rangers. Risborough are playing their first season in the Hellenic League after previously being members of the Spartan South Midlands, and they have started life in the Hellenic extremely well, taking maximum points from their 4 league matches. Langley, who are yet to claim a point after their opening 2 fixtures, will be hoping for an upset in a match between the sides at either end of the table.
