He said: “Looking forward to our trip tonight, especially good to see [former Bracknell Town manager] Geoff Warner. We know it’s going to be a tough game, Burnham are better than there opening results suggest, newly promoted sides generally have momentum and are used to winning games.”

On players, he added: “A number of players return to squad tonight after resting Friday against Chalfont Wasps. Carl Davies, Idris Kamara, Jamie McClurg, Asa Povey and Joel Valentin return giving me some tough decisions in terms of starting line up but good problems to have.”

“It just wasn’t good enough Saturday and I am looking for a reaction”

He said: “After getting through the reserve match on Saturday Dave Hancock returns to the squad. Shane Cooper-Clark faces a late fitness test after taking a knock on Saturday.”

On possible changes, he said: “Not really planning to change anything. It just wasn’t good enough Saturday and I am looking for a reaction. Need to be brave and play football our way.”

Chalvey Sports vs Holyport

In the Hellenic League Division One East there are a couple of games with Chalvey Sports hosting Holyport after a big 7-1 win over Abingdon Town on Saturday.

Stabmonks boss Matty Young said: “Our good win in the cup came at a price, a red card, an injury to our skipper Rich Jeffries mean our missing list grows to nine. So further changes and league debuts to include 18-year-old Jack Lynch.

“We really are testing the whole club now and are pleased with the reactions and quality of all of the lads. Jack is a top lad and am sure he will stand up to the task ahead. That said the quality in the 16 lads involved is high and we are looking forward to the challenge that a quality Holyport side bring to the table.”

In the opposing dugout there won’t be many changes for Port boss Derek Sweetman who said: “It’ll be the same squad as Saturday [Holyport beat Didcot Town Reserves 3-2], we’re still missing a few. No Andy Forisky, Dan Rapley or Liam Bradley.”
