Friday night marks the start of a three day FA Vase cup football bonanza as both Binfield and Ascot United kick off their 2019/20 campaigns.

Binfield play host to Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division neighbours Virginia Water for the second time this season while Ascot travel to Fleet Town in a fixture that had originally been scheduled for the Racecourse Ground.

For Ascot, there could be a debut for new signing James Knight who has moved down the London Road from Binfield.

Football in Berkshire spoke to Moles manager Roger Herridge and Yellamen boss Jamie Tompkins ahead of the fixtures.

JT: Heading into the game at full strength tonight, James Haworth returns after his recent injury and James Knight goes straight into the squad.

We asked Jamie about switching venues which the club also had to do for the FA Cup fixture against Badshot Lea.

JT: We are enjoying the challenge of playing away fixtures whilst our pitch developments continue so not an issue from our point of view. It only adds to the motivation and the squad have shown fantastic commitment

RH: Carl Davies, Danny Horscroft and Eddie Lee all return to squad after missing recent fixtures. We have Jemel Johnson and Sean Moore absent through injury as well as Idris Kamara and Charlie Wheeler is on holiday. Jamie McClurg is also a doubt for the game.
