Bracknell Town goalkeeper Mark Scott scored an audacious 70 yard goal on Wednesday night at Larges Lane.

The strike gave the Robins a 1-0 lead against Westfield and came after defender Joe Gater was fouled in the Bracknell half.

As you can see in the video taken and posted by The Beautiful Game, Scott see’s Westfield goalkeeper Gary Ross off his line and manages to get the ball between the ‘keepers outstretched hand and the underside of the bar.

Normally we’d warn of an expletive in the video (which there is), but in this case, we think it pretty much sums it up!

The goal unfortunately wasn’t enough for Bracknell to take the points as Westfield fought back to win 2-1 in the BetVictor Isthmian League South Central Division clash.

Scott, the Robins popular former Slough Town goalkeeper was made captain in the summer by new manager Sam Lock and has kept four clean sheets in nine games this season.

And just for fun, the Oxford Mail reported in 2014 about the goalkeeper they signed to put pressure on Scott, falling out of a tree. Worth a read for the line “He fell out of a tree when he was trying to get a cat.”
