The 2019/20 Buildbase FA Trophy kicks off in earnest on Saturday with Bracknell Town hosting Coggeshall Town at Larges Lane.

Bracknell manager Sam Lock was able to start a couple of new signings in the midweek win over FC Romania, namely striker Mitchell Parker and centre back Carl Davies, but should be without Joe Grant who is dual registered with Hayes & Yeading United.

Speaking to Football in Berkshire, Lock highlighted a couple of injury concerns saying: “Robb Sheridan has a small knock so won’t be risked but Shane Cooper-Clark and Dan Brown remain out.

“I am really looking forward to today’s game against a talented Coggeshall side though.”

Wokingham & Emmbrook face a tough test in the Bluefin Sport Hellenic League Challenge Cup when they host Division One East leaders Risborough Rangers at Lowther Road.

Speaking of Division One East, Chalvey Sports play host to Penn & Tylers Green having won just one of their last four.

Manager Matty Young said: “We are looking to get back to winning ways today against an in form Penn team. We are aware of the importance and difficulty of this fixture.

“After frustrations on Tuesday we will shuffle the pack. Matt Brophy will make his second start for the injured Matteo Giacobbe unavailable. Joe Creighton returns after suspension, Ryan Hazell returns to fitness and is included in the squad. And probably the only plus point from Tuesday Alfie Clarke will make his first start for the first team this season. We are keen to get back to winning ways and must show the discipline and tactical awareness that saw us have an impressive start.”

Combined Counties League

Ascot United have a couple of key players back as Louis Bouwers and George Lock return to the squad after holiday and suspension.

Jamie Tompkins has a couple injury concerns though. He said: “The injury list is rising so we have a handful of players missing through injury including James Knight and Rory Merrick”.

Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Division One side Eversley & California have suffered a big blow with the loss of their captain for what manager Matt Angell said was ‘long term’.

The Boars, who visit Chessington & Hook United, boss said: “Unfortunately we’ve lost Connor Allston to a long term knee injury.”

It wasn’t all bad news though. Angell said: “However I am pleased to have Jamie Griggs back for today’s game. Harry Stephenson and James Harvey will make league debuts after impressing in the midweek game.

“We do though still have four players out injured including the experienced Cameron Blackie.”

Sandhurst Town play host to Godalming Town at Bottom Meadow and will be without a number of players including Luke Burrows (injury), Carl Prestige (suspension), Haydon Richardson (injury), Tom Cooper (away), Jamie Mitchell (away), Callum Samuel (injury) and Jordan Goddard.

There was some good news though as manager Michael Herbert confirmed Patrick Gardner was back in the squad following injury.
