Met Office weather warnings and Storm Dennis have put paid to the full programme of Sunday League fixtures in Bracknell and Reading this weekend.

The Bracknell Town & District Sunday League and Reading & District Sunday League have both confirmed in messages to member clubs that all fixtures are off for the second weekend in succession.

Last weekend it was Storm Ciara that brought a watery end to proceedings, this time its Dennis with strong winds expected to make playing conditions difficult and heavy rain predicted.

Last Sunday, the morning competitions were joined by the two local women’s football leagues in cancelling all fixtures.

This weekend, much of Saturday’s non league program has been decimated by the weather but at the time of writing, three games were still due to go ahead.
