You can read the full statement on the club website here.

The Moles boss has left the club in the hands of Jamie McClurg and Carl Withers – with the former taking on a player/manager role.

Herridge, who took Binfield to seven cup finals in five seasons, eventually winning the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over FA Vase winners Thatcham Town. This season he led the club to the Fourth Round of the FA Vase where they lost a penalty shootout in a replay with Deal Town.

During his time leading the Moles, Herridge amassed 336 points across 198 league games, averaging 1.69 points a game. The club never finished below ninth in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division and were well on course to record the clubs highest ever points total this season when it was abandoned.

‘I have had a wonderful time at a brilliant football club’

Speaking to Football in Berkshire, Herridge said: “It just feels the right time to step back and recharge the batteries. I have had a wonderful time at a brilliant football club, one I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to manage.

“When I first spoke Carl Withers and Jamie McClurg prior to them joining the management team I made them aware I would be looking to step down at the end of the season. They have had a massive influence on the club both on and off the field this season, the club is in safe hands with those two. I can only see a bright future ahead with their guidance.
