Reports have emerged suggesting the Football Association intends to complete its knockout competitions for the 2019/20 season that has – in the most part – been declared null and void across the non league pyramid.

The Ebac Northern League has posted on it’s website that: “The Football Association has confirmed that their intention is to play the Buildbase FA Vase semi-finals and final this year, with fans able to attend.

“No date has been set and the FA has a number of scenarios but options will be kept open until matches are once again being played.”

A tweet from Vase semi finalists Consett, supports the news. The other semi finalists were Corinthian – who knocked out Ascot United, Bitton and Hebburn Town. The FA Trophy semi finalists are Concord Rangers, Halesowen Town, Notts County and Harrogate Town.

In a statement on March 26th that declared the season from step 3 down null and void, the FA said it would do everything it could to keep the Wembley dream alive for teams in the FA Cup, Women’s Cup, Trophy and Vase: “With the 2019-20 Emirates FA Cup, Women’s FA Cup, Buildbase FA Trophy and Buildbase FA Vase all at advanced stages, we are reviewing all options as we seek to complete these competitions whenever it is safe and appropriate to do so. Clubs involved are close to reaching a major final and for those clubs and supporters, we will do all we can to keep the Wembley dream alive.

“In respect of The FA Youth Cup, The FA County Youth Cup, The FA Sunday Cup and The FA Inter-League Cup, we are also seeking to complete these competitions if it is feasible to do so.

“We will also continue planning for FA competitions to take place for the 2020-21 season.”
