Former Windsor manager Mick Woodham has returned to first team management after a spell out of the game.

The ex-Royalists boss has been appointed manager of Pitching In Isthmian League South Central Division One side Staines Town.

The Swans have endured a tricky few seasons on and off the pitch but will hope Woodham’s appointment will steady the ship after Paul Barnes resignation in January 2021.

Woodham repeatedly inspired Windsor to success during his tenure at Stag Meadow with two very memorable FA Vase runs to the Quarter Finals and Fifth Round, and consistently had the club finishing in the top half of the table between 2012 and 2019.

Speaking to Football in Berkshire, Woodham said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be appointed manager, and I can’t wait to get started.”

The new Swans manager had been appointed to a scouting role at Vanarama National League South Slough Town but will now take the reigns at Wheatsheaf Park.
