Pitching In Isthmian League South Central Division One sides Chertsey Town and Bedfont Sports have landed plum draws in the 2021/22 Emirates FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round.

The two sides, who rival Berkshire clubs Bracknell Town, Binfield and Thatcham Town in their division, have opportunities in the ties to go further than ever in the competition and take the potential scalps of former Football League sides in the process.

For Chertsey, winners of the FA Vase in 2019, the opportunity knocks with a trip to struggling National League Southend United. The Shrimpers have been in a downward spiral for several seasons and following relegation out of the Football League in the summer, sit third bottom of the National League.

Things are slightly more complicated for Bedfont, they have a replay with fellow step 4 club Sholing to get through, but win that and it’s Ware or former league side Kidderminster Harriers at home.

Ties are due to be played on Saturday 16th October 2021. The full 2021/22 FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round draw is here.
