A good mix of league and cup action in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League this past weekend with two bit eight goal scores – one sending Morale Madrid top of the Premier Division.

We’ve pulled out the highlights for your reading pleasure – if you have any pictures or video from the weekend please visit our contribute page or ‘@’ us on twitter @fibracknell. You can also have your say on the action in our comments section below.

Big scores

8 is this weeks magic number!

Two big scorelines this weekend, both in the Premier Division as Morale Madrid won 8-0 at Raglan and FC Fernhill beat Braybrooke Athletic 8-0.

For Morale it was ex-Bracknell Town striker Shane Cooper-Clark who hit a hat trick while Dan Slinger got two and there was one each for Ryan Coupland, Ebby Opoku-Ware and Dan Sleet.

Clean sheets

A rarity in Sunday League so we celebrate the six from the weekend..

On top of the two 8-0 wins detailed above, their were four other shut-outs to report at the weekend including a massive first win of the season for 3M FC who beat Winkfield 1-0 Locks Ride.

The win moves 3M off the bottom of the Division 1 table while in Division 2 it was top against bottom as leaders Berkshire All Stars beat bottom side Hope & Anchor 6-0.

In Division 3 Ashridge Park under 21s beat FC Harmans Water 2-0 and Finchampstead Athletic Sunday ‘A’ won 6-0 at home to basement side Crown Wood Dukes.

Top of the league

Morale’s win at Raglan sent them top of the Premier Division by a point from Binfield AC while it was ‘as you were’ in the three division below with Crowthorne Inn, Berks All Stars and Ashridge Park u21s all maintaining their respective top spots.

And finally..

It was a good weekend for walkovers – always a sad thing to read in a fixture list – with Binfield AC awarded the points against Super Reeves in the Premier and Silver Birch awarded the win against Bracknell Cavaliers under 21s in Division 3.

Both awards affect teams sitting in runners up spots which is obviously not an ideal situation, you want to win the points and potentially promotion on the field.

There were a couple cup walkovers as well with Winnersh Rangers awarded passage in the County Cup against Wycombe side The Riverside and Club 8’s home County Cup tie with Englefield Eagles Reds abandoned.

There were some cup games played though – Warfield United lost 3-1 at home to Crowthorne Inn in the League Cup while Bracknell Saint-Germain lost 4-2 at Datchet Village thirds and AFC Crowthorne Reserves beat Tilehurst Club 3-2 in the County Cup.
