The weather caused a few postponements in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League this weekend but there was still plenty of Junior Cup action, as well as another change at the top in Division 3.

We’ve pulled out the highlights for your reading pleasure – if you have any pictures or video from the weekend please visit our contribute page or ‘@’ us on twitter @fibracknell. You can also have your say on the action in our comments section below.

Big scores

9 is this weeks magic number!

Warfield United scored the winner in extra-time as they beat Berks County in the League Junior Cup quarter finals 5-4.

The match finished 3-3 at full time with three further goals in extra time as Warfield advanced thanks to strikes from Jack Tickner, Alex Mellor, James Knight and a double for Ritchie Cohen.

County’s goals came from a David Amey and Mitchell Webb double. See the draw for the Junior Cup Semi-Finals here.

There were also two eight goal fixtures as Berkshire All Stars won their quarter final thanks to a 5-3 win over FC Harmans Water and Berkshire United won their Division 2 game 7-1 at Winnersh Town.

Clean sheets

A rarity in Sunday League so we celebrate the one from the weekend..

With a number of games in the league and cups postponed at the weekend, there was just one clean sheet recorded and it was in Division 3 by Silver Birch who beat Crown Wood Dukes 4-0 thanks to goals from Jack Hellewell, Liam Moisey and a double for veteran Adam Spiers.

Top of the league

Not quite top of the table, but a big clash nonetheless as Finchampstead Athletic Sunday hosted unbeaten FC Fernhill in the Premier Division.

The champions came out on top with a 2-1 win as Finch missed out on a chance to go second.

Silver Birch’s clean sheet in Division 3 meant they re-took top spot from Ashridge Park under 21s and still have a game in hand.

And finally..

Worrying times for Super Reeves in the Premier Division who conceded their second match in a row without taking to the field. An away win awarded to Bracknell Cavaliers.

And in Division 1 Whitegrove suffered a 4-3 defeat at Bracknell Forest. Michael Bertoux, Billy Golding, Joe Randle and Jack Kelley all scoring for Forest while Shi Hussey scored twice and Alfie Sparrow got the other for Whitegrove who had Jim Hardy sent off.
