Big scores

12 is this weeks magic number!

One big win this week as FC Fernhill came back from their unbeaten run ending defeat to Bracknell Cavaliers last weekend. The reigning Premier Division champions hosted bottom side Braybrooke Athletic and came away with a 12-0 win.

There was also an eight goal match featuring Bearwood Wanderers which you can read about below, and four 7 goal results which included a 4-3 win for Finchampstead Athletic Sunday over Binfield CA, a 4-3 defeat for Sandhurst FFC at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW  in Division 1 and a 6-1 win for Binfield Royals over Warfield United as well as Club 8 beating Berkshire United 5-2 – both in Division 2.

Top of the league

Bracknell Cavaliers remain top of the Premier Division for Christmas courtesy of a 1-0 win at FC Meta in the top-of-the-table clash between first and second.

Cavaliers handily built on last weekends superb win against reigning champions FC Fernhill and ended Meta’s three game winning streak in the process.

Crowthorne Inn stay top of Division 1 without playing a game while Berkshire All Stars matched that feat in Division 2.

There was a change in Division 3 though as Silver Birch dropped to third, Ashridge Park under 21s replacing them after a 5-1 win over Bracknell Falcons, and Bearwood Wanderers went second after a hard fought 5-3 home win over AFC Crowthorne Reserves.

Dave Hunt scored four goals for Bearwood with Danny Wing getting the other while goalkeeper Rob Ewens pulled off some terrific saves for the home side.

Clean sheets

A rarity in Sunday League so we celebrate the six from the weekend..

Two clean sheets in the Premier Division we’ve already mentioned, and a third came for Bracknell Celtic as they beat Raglan 5-0.

In Division 1 Whitegrove won 6-0 at 3M FC and Bracknell Forest gave new managers Paul Brady and Billy Golding a dream start with a 4-0 win over Hurricanes.

The sixth and final clean sheet came in Division 3 as Bracknell Cavaliers under 21s beat FC Harmans Water 2-0.

And finally..

A case of seconds for two sides as Bracknell Titans picked up their second win of the season in Division 3 with a 3-2 victory over Winnersh Rangers, and Division 2 bottom side Hope & Anchor earned only their second point of the season with a 2-2 draw at third placed Berks County.
