One of the worst kept secrets in local football has been confirmed by the Bracknell News – Bracknell Town will ground share with neighbours Sandhurst Town for August and September of the 2016/17 season.

A report in last weeks ‘News’ saw Bracknell Town chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse confirm the club will play the opening month of the season at Bottom Meadow.

Bracknell Town announced last month that their Larges Lane redevelopment plan had been approved by Bracknell Forest Borough Council and work will start imminently on installing an artificial pitch.

Work

The pitch work is expected to continue into the early months of the season so the Robins first and development teams will ground share with Sandhurst Town at Bottom Meadow – themselves now in the Hellenic League after transferring across from the Combined Counties League – for at least August and September of the 2016/17 season.

Bracknell Town Youth team and Ladies first team are looking to play their early season games away from home where possible – the ladies reserves will continue to play at Syngenta Recreation Ground.
