Our weekly round-up of football in the local media focuses this week on Mark Tallentire’s post match comments in the Bracknell News and Wokingham & Emmbrook’s continued support for African children.

Bracknell Town manager Mark Tallentire has spoken to the Bracknell News about his sides intention to make Larges Lane a fortress.

The Robins boss said: “When we came back here one of the things we spoke about was to make this ground a fortress.

“It has taken us a little while to get used to it, but now we have found our feet we are churning out results and good performances – we can’t ask for any more from the lads.”

Flackwell Heath defender Dan Bayliss has thanked his clubs coaching team for turning him in to a play good enough to be selected for England Schoolboys.

The 17 year old has been selected to represent England against Australia at the weekend and like another youngster Sam Barratt, believes his time playing men’s football at Flackwell helped him earn a place in the Three Lions squad according to the Maidenhead Advertiser.
