New Bracknell Town manager Jeff Lamb has spoken to the Bracknell News’ Dave Wright this week following his and Paul McGrotty’s appointment at Larges Lane.

Lamb said: “Obviously, we are all delighted to be here. We intend to have the same beliefs we had at Ascot and our ambition is to take this team up.”

On re-signing TJ Bohane, Lamb said the forwards return was initially on a dual-registration deal with Evo Stik Southern League side Swindon Supermarine but it was hoped this would become a permanent transfer.

In the same interview, Lamb said of Bracknell’s red card habit: “Unfortunately, Bracknell have had a few of them [red cards] this season, which is not great, so we need to improve the discipline.”

Speaking in the Chronicle, Richardson said: “The job was becoming a bit too much of hard work and I was not enjoying it as much as I should have been, but I would like to place on record my gratitude to the club for giving me my first manager’s job.”

This season his side has been hampered by lack of commitment and player unavailability. He added: “I can’t remember the last time I was able to field the same team for two games running.”

The full interview is on the Reading Chronicle website here.

Elsewhere Burnham manager Mark Betts has moved to dismiss rumours he had been sacked by the club. He told the Slough Observer he was simply ill for Monday nights 1-0 win over Highmoor.
