Former Bracknell Town manager Mark Tallentire is back at the club in a new role as Head of Football after the club revealed their restructure on Wednesday morning.

In an interview with the Bracknell News’ Dave Wright, Tallentire said: “It’s a new role for me and one I am really looking forward to and giving it a good go.

“We are moving into a new league and these are exciting times for the club, so it’s good to be back.”

Wright believes that the return of Tallentire, twice a manager at Larges Lane had been on the cards for several weeks having regularly been spotted at fixtures. He had previously left the club in September 2017.

Elsewhere Newbury Today have a brief piece on Thatcham Town’s FA Vase win while the Maidenhead Advertiser has a good in depth piece on Windsor and manager Mick Woodham.

In the article, Woodham says he believes the Hellenic League Premier Division side are bottom of the food chain when it comes to signing players.

Woodham states: “We probably need to bring in two to four players, but none of them are going to commit at the present time. We’re bottom of the food chain in that respect and until we have the players signed on for the season we can’t really say too much. We can ask the players, and they might say they’ll come to us, but you never know what will happen and things can change in half-an-hour.”
