Bracknell Town finally got their season underway on Saturday with a 1-0 win against Waltham Abbey at Larges Lane.

Liam Ferdinand got the Robins first goal at step 4 since 2010 and Bracknell manager Carl Davies was full of praise for the clubs supporters.

Speaking to the Bracknell News’ Dave Wright, Davies said: “They [the supporters] were tremendous, they were really loud.

“When the goal went in, there was a lot of noise from the fans; what a feeling that was. Their support is massive to us and long may it continue.”
