Binfield FC host Burnham this evening at Hill Farm Lane in the third game of their Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League campaign (ko 7.45pm).

The Moles are unbeaten in the league so far this season posting victories against Henley Town and Lydney Town on Saturday.

Here’s what to expect..

A bit more of an experienced Moles side

Roger Herridge called up a number of reserve team players for Saturday’s victory over Lydney including the second strings player/assistant manager Matt Davies to cover for a number of injuries and unavailability.

Speaking to the Moles boss earlier today, Binfield fans can expect to see former Ascot United forward Matt Jones in the squad while Jack Broome (pictured above) is finally able to start his season following the three game suspension picked up at the end of last season in a match we’ve promised we won’t mention again.

Burnham’s disciplinary issues to the fore

Only eight completed Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Tuffley Rovers. Seve Mayberry, Liridon Daka and Masangu Mwetaminwa were all sent off joining David Hoar who was shown red in the blues opening game of the season.

It could just be frustration, but indiscipline as we have seen time and again in the Hellenic League fair play system can be a good barometer of where a side will finish come the end of a campaign.

The only comfort for Burnham will have been seeing Henley Town have three dismissed on Saturday as well. It’s not much to go on granted.

Will Tuttle be in the dugout?

GloucestershireLive has reported that manager Dave Tuttle wasn’t in the dugout for Saturday’s defeat, former England international and Burnham sporting director Luther Blissett taking his place.

Tuttle is of course a former Tottenham Hotspur centre back with time spent at Sheffield United and Crystal Palace amongst others and has managed Millwall, Bracknell Town, Henley Town, Hartley Wintney and Newbury.

And a new signing..

Well we didn’t have any indication of this one, but Binfield have signed Henley Town’s impressive midfielder Asa Povey and he goes straight into this evenings squad to face Burnham.

Povey was a vital part of the Red Kites squad that achieved promotion to the Hellenic Premier Division last season playing 27 games and scoring 13 goals.

He was outstanding in that final game of last season (the one we promised we wouldn’t mention) against his new club and got himself on the scoresheet. If you want to read about it you can here.

Kick-off tonight is 7.45pm at Hill Farm Lane, Duds should be able to keep you up to date with all the action via our twitter page @fibracknell – or Binfield’s excellent feed of their own. And you can see the full Hellenic Premier League table as it stands here.
