The second semi final in the 2016/17 Reading Senior Cup see’s Binfield and Woodcote Stoke Row go head to head at Scours Lane on Wednesday night.

The winners will face Bracknell Town in the final after the Robins beat neighbours Wokingham & Emmbrook 2-0 on Monday night courtesy of goals from Seb Bowerman and Carl Withers.

Wednesday’s second semi is a rerun of a tie that was abandoned after six players were sent off and those dismissals have been carried over to the rematch.

Where is the game being played?

The Reading Senior Cup committee have decided on a neutral venue for both of the weeks semi-finals at Scours Lane, the former home of Reading Town and current home of Highmoor-IBIS.

Bracknell supporters will be familiar with the grounds location at the top end of Reading’s Oxford Road while Wokingham face Woodley United in Division 1 East.

Address: Scours Lane, Tilehurst RG30 6AY

How to get there: The best way to get to Scours Lane is by car with plenty of parking on site. It is also possible to go via train to Reading West from Bracknell or Wokingham station – but you will need to change at Reading. Reading West is a two minute train ride away and then an approximate 20 minute walk to the ground.

What to expect

As mentioned in the preamble, both sides carry suspensions in to this tie with Binfield missing Liam Ferdinand and Grant Kemp as well as Michael Walton and Sean Moore while the Moles boss has an injury list that numbers goalkeeper Liam Vaughan and young forward Luke Hayden.

Monday nights game between Wokingham and Bracknell at the same venue was characterised by a solid surface despite a damp evening despite the overnight rain it shouldn’t be too different.

Speaking to FiB, manager Binfield manager Roger Herridge he’d be playing a much changed but competitive squad with players getting opportunities from the clubs reserve and youth sides.
