Bracknell Town, by virtue of results elsewhere secured their Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League status for the 2016/17 despite defeat at home to Longlevens this afternoon.

Robins captain Carl Davies described the performance as ‘very leggy’ and the home side were hindered by three enforced first half substitutes due to injury.

George Short, Seb Bowerman and Declan Kirby all hobbled off, meaning Mark Tallentire’s skills in squad rotation which we alluded to earlier will be severely tested with another busy week of first team games coming up.

Survival

The important point to note of course is that Bracknell have completed a remarkable escape from the bottom four and certain relegation despite defeat today – Tuffley Rovers were beaten 1-0 at Thame United meaning they can only reach 37 points if they win their final three games.
