Wokingham & Emmbrook may be headed out of the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League but, as has possibly been the story of their season there were really glimmers of positivity tonight despite the 2-0 scoreline to Ardley United.

The Satsumas lost Jake Butler to a serious looking head injury during the game as our man on the ground Paul Butler reports: “An even game  tonight with but goals from Adi Talabi and Reece Bayliss did for the Sumas.

“Wokingham felt the penalty was an awful decision as Ardley player appeared to clip his own heels – and the visitors had to wait until the 97th minute for their second goal.

“Sumas had a couple of half chances but the our aerial threat was lessened when Butler went off. Told he’s had five stitches but he’s doing okay.

“The best chance for the home side came from Blake Stewart who should have scored when goalkeeper and centre back misjudged but were able to clear off the line.”
